The Hutton’s Edge knife and system are made and meant to be deployed and used when a person is already over-run.

 

What the system is not:

• It is not meant to replace the wisdom of gaining/maintaining distance from assailants.
• It is not dojo style knife on knife face offs.

 

What the system is:

• The system is made to function well regardless of whether or not one is still upright, or tangled up on the ground.
• The system is based on gross motor function.
• The system does not require the user be faster than the attackers.
• It is made for when an individual is facing a deadly attack by a overwhelming force of numbers or greater size/skill.

 

The Hutton’s Edge system fills a small gap in individual self defense. It is not for stopping a shooter. It is not meant to encourage one to close the gap of distance between attacker and the attacked. It is for when one is out fought (i.e. multiple attackers, tied up on the ground, or a superior fighter). When someone is losing the fight, but still conscious, Hutton’s Edge can be deployed and utilized with remarkable efficiency.

 

The Hutton’s Edge system was designed by a former law enforcement officer with LEOs in mind. We have a train the trainer program for departments.
